CMPD: 21 DWI charges at Saturday night checking station

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department conducted a DWI checking station on Runnymede Lane near Michael Baker Place Saturday night.

The checking station ran from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. and 21 people were charged with DWI, CMPD says.

Police say two people were charged with open container of alcohol.

UNCC Police and Pineville Police participated in the checkpoint.
