Sprains and strains most common causes of back pain

If you have back pain, it could likely be from a sprain or strain in muscle ligaments.
Neosurgeon Dr. Andrew Marky with the Novant Health Brain and Spine Group says that’s the most common cause of back pain.
If it’s lasted longer than a couple of weeks, it’s not getting better or if it’s getting worse, it’s time to talk to your doctor.
“When patients come to see me in the office, they’re going to get a physical exam, we’ll have the patients do basic exercises in the office to assess where the pain is coming from, and they’ll usually get a set of X-rays in the office as well as part of their initial exam,” he said.
