Sunshine sticks around Friday before weekend gets off to rainy start

Storms will be possible this afternoon and evening as a cold front drops in from north to south through the area later today.

There’s another chance for some isolated storms on Tuesday afternoon.

Temperatures will briefly cool down today, but warmer conditions can be expected for most of the week ahead.

We will kick off our Saturday mostly sunny and dry but late in the day scattered showers and thunderstorms will move in from north to south. Highs tomorrow will range from the lower 70s in the mountains to the upper 80s and lower 90s across the Piedmont.

Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies this afternoon with high temps into the mid-80s. Winds will be breezy with a gust or two 10-15 mph.

This will mainly be during the late afternoon/evening hours.
