Knights lose game one of twin bill to Gwinnett Saturday 11-5

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The Knights hosted Gwinnett in a day/night doubleheader Saturday afternoon at beautiful BB&T Ballpark as fans got to see some offense.

In the bottom of the 4th the Knights came back to tie the game at four thanks to Jake Elmore's RBI single.

Patrick Leonard followed that with a double down the fight field line and that would score another run to give the Knights a 5-4 lead. It was looking good
for the home team.

But Gwinnett kept the hits coming and went on to win 11-5 behind the hitting of Ryan Flaherty who has been up with the big league Atlanta Braves a lot.
He turned in a two run double in the top of the 8th and the Stripers beat the Knights in game one 11-5.

Game two is set for first pitch at 7:04PM Saturday at BB&T Ballpark.
