BREAKING NEWS: A man has been arrested, accused of shooting a deputy in Cleveland County. It happened along Highway 74 in front of KM Auto Brokers just east of Shelby last night. We're expecting a press conference to happen in the 5 a.m. hour. WBTV's Caroline Hicks has been getting new information. We're learning what transpired before shots were fired.

We're working to learn the identity of a body pulled from Lake Norman, after crews spent hours searching the water near Mooresville.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is detailing its plan to protect your kids after drinking water at dozens of schools tested positive for lead.
