MORGANTON, NC (WBTV) - Six years ago, Todd Money got a call from a rescuer in Florida asking if he would mind taking in a baby marmoset monkey as a pet. The Morganton man had been rescuing animals for years, but never a monkey.
So he read up and studied and got all the appropriate licenses and brought "Spanky" into his home. The two quickly became friends.
"Everywhere I go, he goes. He rarely leaves my side," said Todd.
Now Spanky is considered an emotional support animal. Todd takes him to hospitals and schools for visits, where he always brings a smile.
But perhaps the biggest smile Spanky brings is to his owner.
Check out the video to see why - and to just see some adorable monkeys.
