Good morning - Kristen Miranda here with you this morning as Christine Sperow takes some much needed time off.

John Carter, our producer Heidi, and I just got finished going over the stories in the news this morning...and there's a lot to tell you about.

First things first, the weather.  Meteorologist Al Conklin is calling for rain and the chance for storms today.  Looks like it could hit at a couple of different times so you'll want to hear what he has to say about the timing of it all.

A big international story breaking overnight...14 people were shot in Toronto and one has died.   It happened outside of a restaurant in the Greektown neighborhood and the gunman is also dead.  Micah Smith is in the Alert Center this morning and is following every detail...we're waiting to hear what the gunman's motive might have been.

Closer to home, the search will resume this morning for a missing bicyclist in south Charlotte.  Police say Charles Mathis Pfeiler was last seen Wednesday headed out on his gray Trek mountain bike.

Apparently a guy climbed one of the buildings uptown last night.  Like, all the way up.  We'll tell you which building and how it ended.

It is expected that crews will be able to pull that duck boat from the lake in Missouri today.

A war of words between the President and Iran escalates...

In a special report this morning we're looking into why women are choosing to have their children later in life and the risks that come along with that.

And - if you have been thinking about buying a ticket for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway...don't think about it too much longer, just do it!  Especially because there's a big deadline looming.....

We'll talk about all of this and more when you wake up and join us on WBTV News This Morning!  See you soon!
