LIVE: BREAKING NEWS. A fight escalated into a shooting a few hours ago in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte. We are live at the scene right now. There is still a large police presence. WBTV's Caroline Hicks has been back and forth talking with investigators. She will have the latest live report from the scene at 5 a.m.

LATEST: We're learning Charlotte City Council has called a special meeting to vote on whether to host the Republican National Convention. The RNC hasn't officially announced yet whether it will be here or in Las Vegas. The public is invited to attend and speak about the decision. We'll have those details.

NATO SUMMIT: While you have been sleeping there were feathers ruffled at the NATO Summit. That's where President Trump is, with representatives from the other NATO countries. We'll tell you what the president said slamming ally countries.
