Good morning!  Winter storm - round 2!  Kristen Miranda here and you'll notice the snow didn't go anywhere.  The issue this morning is the ice on roadways...and the cold temperatures.

We have complete team weather coverage for is another First Alert Day.

Meteorologist Al Conklin will tell us when it is going to get warm enough to clear up those roads completely.

My drive all the way up Park Road was a little slippery - you have to take your time.  We have three crews in the field to show you what the conditions look like across the area...and Storm 3 is on the road.

Of course there are school delays and cancellations again today and we expect to hear from the Governor of North Carolina this morning about the response to the storm across the state.  There's also something you need to know about the snow on TOP of your car this morning...something we don't always think of.

Make sure you have that WBTV Weather app is helpful on days like this.

We haven't forgotten the four law enforcement officers shot in York County, South Carolina.  We have an update on this case this morning - after we got sad word last night that the York County detective shot a couple of nights ago has died.  Detective Mike Doty had been with the Sheriff's Office for 12 years.  He was one of 4 officers shot and we have an update on the case this morning.

Chris Larson is watching the roads...Kristi O'Connor is in the Alert Center....Lyndsay Tapases, Micah Smith and Caroline Hicks are out in the elements...and Christine Sperow and I are at the desk.  We're on the air now...tune in when you wake up to get caught up.
