Good morning!  Kristen Miranda up early with you on what is predicted to be a snowy morning!

We just got a briefing from Al Conklin at about 4am...he says there is a Winter Storm Warning in effect for our viewing area and...if you've been wishing for snow you're going to love this....we could get several inches this morning.  I'll let Al break down the timing of it all and how long it will stay on the ground.  Plus he's already thinking about a First Alert Day for tomorrow...he'll explain why.

Many school districts across the greater Charlotte area have canceled classes today and we have the full list on our website and we'll be talking about it on the air...but you may still have to work today.   Chris Larson is closely monitoring road conditions so that you'll know what you are up against as you head out.

We'll have crews spread out across the area showing you what the conditions look like from the foothills, to the Queen City, to Ballantyne and further south.  Micah Smith and Caroline Hicks are out in the elements now and Meteorologist Lyndsay Tapases is about to jump into Storm 3 to head to spots where the flakes are flying.

One more thing - we want to see YOUR snow pictures!!!  So make sure you post them on social media using #SnoWBTV and I'll find them and show some of them on the air!

I want you to know we're also covering the rest of the news of the day and we are closely monitoring the conditions of those law enforcement officers shot in York County, SC.  If we get ANY updates at all...we will bring them to you right away.

We will be on the air starting at 4:30am and as always we'll be On Your Side helping you stay safe during this winter storm.  See you when you wake up....
