Good morning!  Kristen Miranda here with you on this day after Thanksgiving.

My guess is you are either reading this from the comfort of your bed, or while waiting in line at a store.  It is Black Friday and we are covering all of those late night and early morning shoppers braving the crowds and the elements around the Charlotte area.  If you're out there - you can get caught up on our morning news headlines and weather while you're waiting by watching LIVE on the WBTV News app.

Those who did head out overnight around here had some freezing temperatures to deal with.  Meteorologist Lyndsay Tapasas will tell us what the rest of the day and the rest of the weekend will feel like.

There's a story we're following out of Rock Hill this morning where police officers shot a man they say had a gun and wouldn't come out of his house.  The extent of his injuries is unclear but we know the two officers involved are on administrative leave as is procedure...

Officers with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department are looking for three guys after a couple of Thanksgiving armed robberies.  We will tell you where they happened and the type of vehicle they were believed to be in.

A life-saving double transplant at Levine Children's Hospital will give you reason to smile this morning.

And if you're looking for a way to feel better about all of that food you ate yesterday, we'll show you how the simple act of taking a selfie helped one woman lose 80 pounds.

Kristi O'Connor, Lyndsay and I are in the studio and Caroline Hicks and Micah Smith are on Black Friday duty....we're all waiting for you to join us on WBTV.
