#TeamNoSugar: Breast cancer survivor loses almost 60 lbs!

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - She's a breast cancer survivor and former self-described potato chip junkie. Jacqueline McClain's cancer has been in remission for five years and she knew she had to commit to a healthy lifestyle.

She joined #TeamNOSugar in September 2016 and since then has lost 58 lbs! She stopped by the WBTV studios Tuesday to share her story during our 4 p.m. newscast.

"I had to step my game up," she said. McClain says she decided to join TNS because she wanted to feel better and have more energy. "I was tired of feeling sluggish," she recalled.

She also said walking past a mirror was hard. "I would walk by a mirror, look into it and wonder who was that person," said McClain. Now nearly 60 lbs lighter she proudly proclaims, "I'm #Foxyat50!!"

Jacqueline celebrated her 50th birthday August 14th. What a way to ring in the half-century mark!

When I asked her what she would say to inspire to others, she replied, "If I can do it – ANYONE can! I was eating potato chips every day, all day. Like for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I can change, so can you!"
