Good morning! Kristen Miranda filling in for John Carter this morning...did the storms keep you up last night?

We're traveling across the area gathering pictures of storm damage...there are some power outages...and there's a sinkhole that has closed Mallard Creek near Johnston Oehler Road. We have Kristen Hampton live in the field and Micah Smith in the Alert Center covering it all.

You'll also want to hear Al Conklin's forecast to see what we're in for today.

We're just getting information from Charlotte Mecklenburg Police about an overnight carjacking investigation along Park Road. It sounds like there's a twist to this story that may have helped police find the stolen car.

Utility crews are checking out a bridge in Charlotte this morning because a hole was found in it and they're trying to figure out if it is safe to drive over.

Protestors in the Durham area rip down a Confederate monument, this as another Confederate statue in our area is vandalized...again.

We're also learning about how many hate groups there are in North and South Carolina.

Target wants in on the same-day delivery game. It is an experiment you'll want to know about.

We have you covered for back to school...this morning if you're buying a laptop for your teen, we will tell you what you need to look for.

And could Carowinds be ready to expand? How a big piece of property at the park could be used.

I walked into a very busy newsroom this morning, so this is just a tiny bit of what we are covering for you both on the air and online. While you're getting ready, flip the TV on. We have plenty to tell you.
