(WBTV) - The Schiele Museum of Natural History is celebrating the celestial event of the year with a Solar Eclipse Weekend.

Discover the science behind this year's total solar eclipse with fun for the whole family! It's all happening Saturday, August 19 through Monday, August 21, 2017.

Members can RSVP through the museum's website to reserve tickets. Advanced ticket purchase packages are available.

Join WBTV News on Monday, August 21 for the main event at the museum and watch a live video feed of the solar eclipse. We'll have team coverage, with Alex Giles covering the eclipse from Gastonia and Storm3 will be on site for photo opportunities.

That day, get $2 off Planetarium Admission tickets by showing that you have the WBTV News app on your smartphone. Discount only valid on Monday, August 21.

WBTV will be on deck with giveaways from CBS, including solar eclipse viewing glasses while supplies last.

We look forward to sharing this incredible experience with all of you!
