Good morning, Kristen Miranda with you on this Friday, August 11th.  It is a very busy morning in the WBTV newsroom.  Let me give you a couple of headlines, here, so you can get started...then I hope you'll flip on the TV as you're getting ready for all of the details.

We just heard from CMPD that an accident we have been keeping an eye on overnight on Brookshire Boulevard near I-85 is a pedestrian hit and killed by a vehicle.  This is a busy area that's part of a construction detour...so we'll be watching this closely all morning.

Our Kristen Hampton is on the scene of a shooting in northeast Charlotte - someone killed at an apartment complex.  This is the 57th homicide of the year in the Queen City and this morning we are also getting new information about the 56th homicide.

There's been a fire at the big medical complex on the campus of CMC Main and that has forced doctors to cancel all appointments there today.

Have you seen this confrontation caught on camera that is going viral?  A local woman upset that a restaurant employee might have stolen her money.  We'll show you some of it this morning.

We're helping to get you ready for back to school, it is almost time for Round 2 of the PGA Championship to begin, and Clemson fans will want to see what will be available on store shelves in South Carolina next week.

The news is on WBTV from 4:30am-7am and we switch over to Bounce TV from 7-9am.
