CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) - An artist whose bright and bold depictions of the speed and personalities of NASCAR racing is moving his studio and gallery to a new location in Concord.

The Sam Bass Gallery has moved down the road to set up shop on the other side of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Located on Highway 29 in Concord, N.C., the new Sam Bass Art Studios will still only be minutes from the track.

The new location has a much higher visibility to the public, who Bass invites to share not only the art career he has enjoyed for more than 30 years in the sport of NASCAR, but also the things he has been passionate about his entire life—passions that have long been the inspiration for his most famous compositions, including music, animation, nostalgia and pop culture.

While Bass, The First Officially Licensed Artist Of NASCAR, will maintain his full-time studio and display of automotive art in the new space, he plans to expand emphasis on his unique collection of guitars; rock and roll, as well as country memorabilia; with comic book characters and super hero collectibles finding a feature niche all their own.

"There will be something fun for everyone to enjoy," exclaimed Bass. "The new studio gives us the opportunity to bring more to the table for the individual collector, limited previously to corporate sponsors, race teams and tracks."

In addition to original art commissions, Bass also creates beautiful one-of-a-kind guitars. At the top of the list, however, is the artist's eagerness to do a complete launch of the Sam Bass Santas & Snowmen collection, which he introduced several years ago and has been growing in popularity since. Bass' whimsical cast of Christmas characters will be joined with new faces and additional holidays.

These endeavors for the Sam Bass Gallery will be re-branded under the name of Sam Bass Art Studios to reflect all of Bass' interests and encompass all of his future plans for growth.

The grand opening will take place on October 5, 2016, to coincide with the running of the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Special festivities are planned for the day, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. SiriusXM satellite radio will be on site for Bass to discuss the details of this new chapter in his life with Dave Moody.

All are invited to share this very special occasion with him.
