Firefighters battle apartment fire for four hours in Catawba County

CATAWBA COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - The Red Cross is helping several people who were displaced by a large fire in Catawba County Sunday morning.

The fire broke out before 6 a.m. on the 2300 block of Mitchell Drive in Hickory. The structure was a total loss.

At least four apartments were affected, displacing those who lived there.

Firefighters from multiple agencies reportedly fought the large blaze for nearly four hours.

No injuries were reported.

Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
