Man rescued from Concord house fire

CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was rescued from a burning home in Concord early Monday morning.

The Concord Fire Department says firefighters were called to the house fire just before 3 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of Abington Drive NE.

Crews went into the burning home to conduct a search, where they found the unresponsive man. A woman inside was not injured.

EMS took the man to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast. Firefighters believe he will be OK.

Around 33 firefighters responded to the call.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

There's now word on estimated damages.
