Fire destroys Catawba farm house

CATAWBA, NC (WBTV) - A Catawba farm house is destroyed after catching fire late Tuesday night.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. at a home on Wike Road. When crews arrived, the two-story home was fully engulfed in flames.
A man inside the home made it out safely.
Crews from five agencies responded to the large fire. One firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution due to elevated blood pressure.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
