Man injured in shooting near uptown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A man was injured in a shooting near uptown Charlotte late Sunday night.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say a man was shot several times on West 28th Street near N. Tryon Street. It happened around 11 p.m.

Medic took the man to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police haven't released any names or a possible motive for the shooting.
