CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A 20-year-old is dead and three others were hurt in a university area shooting Saturday morning.

Adrian Potts has been identified as the victim in the north Charlotte shooting on Collegiate Avenue. The shooting happened just before 3 a.m at the 901 Place Apartments, near the campus of UNC Charlotte.

Police say a large crowd gathered inside one of the apartments when an altercation led to the shooting.

Potts was pronounced dead on the scene and police say three men showed up to the hospital who had also been shot in the incident. Two of the victims came in with minor injuries and were still being treated at the hospital Saturday evening. One of the victims was treated at Carolinas Medical Center and has since been released.

No word on arrests.
