Bessemer City Manager's stepson cited for driving police car

BESSEMER CITY, NC (WBTV) - The Bessemer City Manager's stepson was cited for driving a police vehicle.

Gaston County police say Noah Cartagena, stepson of Bessemer City Manager James Inman, was cited after Inman let him drive him a police vehicle to school.

Police say they know Cartagena drove the vehicle last Thursday and Friday.

The Piedmont Charter School's resource officer noticed the vehicle on campus after seeing the lights.

Cartagena was was cited for possession and operation of blue lights.

Inman is not being charged.

The case went to the District Attorney.
