Firefighters fight blaze at hardwood finishing company in Union Co.

UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Firefighters responded Thursday evening to a three-alarm warehouse fire in Union County.

The blaze broke out around 7:30 p.m. at AA Hardwood Floors, a hardwood finishing company on the 600 block of Union West Boulevard. Officials reported seeing heavy smoke upon their arrival.

Eight departments responded to the scene.

Crews at the scene told WBTV that while the cause of the fire is under investigation, there was no reason to believe malfeasance was involved.

Wood finishing chemicals, motor vehicles and trailers were being stored in the part of the building that caught fire. the flames were contained to about half of the building, leaving the other side undamaged.

No injuries were reported.
