Firefighters battle large fire at convenience store in uptown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A fire broke out at a convenience store in uptown Charlotte Friday afternoon, showing heavy smoke and large flames.

The Charlotte Fire Department responded to the fire around 12:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Graham Street. It appears the fire started near the back of a Circle K convenience store.

Heavy smoke could be seen  on the WBTV Tower Cam when crews responded to the fire. It took 23 firefighters around 35 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
