Woman found dead in Stanly home

STANLY COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - The Stanly County Sheriff's Office says a woman was found dead Friday afternoon in the Oakboro area.

Deputies say they arrived at Griffin Greene Boulevard at approximately 4:00 p.m. and found a woman shot to death. Investigators have identified the woman as 45-year-old Amy Edwards Boger.

Investigators believe she was shot once and say the investigation is "very concerning".

Family, friends, and co-workers were being interviewed to put together what led up to the shooting. The North Carolina SBI has been called in the help with the investigation.
