Person shot, seriously injured in northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - One person was taken to the hospital after reportedly being shot in northwest Charlotte Wednesday.
The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. on the 6600 block of Woodland Circle, which is off of Oakdale Road.
Officials have not released much information, but Medic confirmed that a patient was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with very serious injuries.
The victim's name has not been released.
Police have not said what may have led to the shooting or if anyone was taken into custody.
