CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police are searching for two people who they say robbed a fast food restaurant in Charlotte before forcing the employees into a freezer.
It happened early Wednesday morning at the McDonalds along the 4400-block of South Tryon Street.
Police say the pair forced their way inside the 24-hour fast food restaurant, with handguns, and made employees get into the freezer.
Police say the robbers then grabbed cash from the register and bolted. No one was hurt.
Crime Scene Investigators were on scene checking the restaurant for evidence.
Employees on site were shaken up but are glad to be okay.
Police are searching for the robbers.
