CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A former Charlotte TSA agent and her two children have been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
Claudine Manning, Aaliyah Manning and Dahmani Elliott were in court Monday for a bond hearing.
They are accused of beating Kevin Jackson, Aaliyah's ex-boyfriend, with a bat and a propane tank on September 28.
Inside courtroom 1150 Monday, Jackson's mother, Nicole Jackson, pleaded with the judge not to reduce the bond for the three suspects.
Jackson said her son was on life support for several days.
During the bond hearings, the events that led up to the beating were shared.
The defense said Kevin Jackson threw a propane tank through the suspects' car windshield. Afterward, a fight ensued.
In court, prosecutors said they recovered cell phone video that shows the three suspects beating Jackson with the propane tank and a baseball bat.
Because of Jackson's aggressive behavior before the fight, the judge did lower the suspects' bonds.
Jackson's mother was upset with that decision.
"They viciously and violently went to my son's home, with his new girlfriend, and attacked my son," Jackson told WBTV.
An attorney said Claudine Manning was a TSA agent for nine years. At least a dozen friends were in court to support her Monday.
Aaliyah Manning and Dahmani Elliott both received a $500,000 secured bond for their attempted first-degree murder
Claudine Manning had a secured bond set at $250,000.
