Competitive eating champ Joey Chestnut visits WBTV

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - He's the world champ in competitive eating and every year people across the country turn on their televisions on the 4th of July just to see how many Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs he'll put down.
Joey Chestnut visited WBTV News Saturday Morning ahead of the Charlotte regional qualifier for the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest. The qualifier is Saturday, May 23rd at 6pm during the Circle K and Kangaroo Speed Street festival.
Chestnut challenged Kristen and Chris to a mini-competition live in the studio.
