CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - If you like good information packed into a small article, this one is for you. Most of you have heard the weather term 'Bomb' or 'Bombogenesis' (not really one of my favorites if I'm being honest). But what does that mean when a storm Bombs? Is that just a slang term we use, or does it have some scientific basis. It actually is based on how rapidly a storm strengthens, or deepens. The deepening just refers to the central pressure of the storm falling.
