Driver OK after tractor-trailer catches fire on I-77

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Interstate 77 is reopen after a tractor-trailer caught fire in southwest Charlotte on Wednesday morning, destroying the cab of the truck.
The fire was reported around 6 a.m. near the Westinghouse Boulevard exit. The shoulder on Interstate 77 southbound was closed until around 7 a.m., when all lanes were back open.
No injuries were reported, according to Medic.
Officials have not said exactly what caused the tractor-trailer to catch fire.
