A US Airways flight that left Charlotte Wednesday morning had to be evacuated in Denver after it landed.

American Airlines confirms that US Airways Flight 445, from Charlotte Douglas International Airport to Denver International Airport was involved in an incident at Denver Wednesday afternoon.

While taxiing to the gate, the pilot was alerted to smoke in the cabin. The slides were launched and passengers and crew deplaned by the slides and were all taken into the terminal by bus.

Denver airport officials say there was no sign of any fire inside the plane.

American Airlines says it is in contact with the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
