CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A house in northwest Charlotte was damaged after flames spread through the back of the home.

Fire crews responded to the 200 block of Harrison street Sunday morning. Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the structure.

Officials say it took 20 to 25 firefighters to quickly knock down the blaze and say damage was located predominantly towards the back of the structure.

No one was hurt in the fire and officials are unsure if anyone has lived in the house recently.

Investigators were on scene and have not said what started the fire.
