Fire broke out in abandoned Charlotte restaurant

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A fire that broke out in a vacant Charlotte restaurant is under investigation.
Charlotte firefighters responded to a fire near Sharon Forest Drive and East Independence Boulevard just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
When the three engines arrived they say they found heavy smoke coming through the roof and flames were visible inside the vacant restaurant.
It took 35 firefighters 26 minutes to control the blaze, according to Charlotte fire personnel.
No injuries were reported, but damage to the structure has been estimated at $42,000.
The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force says they are looking into the cause of the fire.
