I-85 reopens after overturned tractor-trailer shut down lanes in Gaston Co.

GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - After more than 3 hours of delays, all lanes on a section of Interstate 85 northbound in Gaston County are open. The lanes were blocked Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer overturned, according to fire officials.

The accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. at Exit 22 for Cramerton/Lowell, near Cox Road in Gaston County. The interstate was blocked, at one point, all the way to Exit 17 the Gastonia Fire Department said around 8 a.m.

An hour later, the department said the left lane had opened but the right and center northbound lanes were blocked.
