HUNTERSVILLE, NC (WBTV) - Firefighters in Huntersville responded Monday night after a large mulch pile caught fire.
The fire started just before 8 p.m. at Wallace Farms on the 14400 block of Eastfield Road.
Eighteen firefighters from three different departments responded to the blaze and were able to get it under control in about an hour.
Firefighters said they believe spontaneous combustion caused the fire.
