ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A Rowan County man who is a registered sex offender now faces new charges for having his own page on a social media site.
Jonathan Tyler Miller, 21, was charged Monday night and booked into the Rowan County Jail under a $75,000 bond.
Miller is charged with use of a social website by a sex offender, failing to register as a sex offender, and probation violation.
Investigators say Miller created two online "identifiers," one called "rockyoursoxoff," and another under his name. In addition, a Facebook page was found that deputies say Miller created.
Miller was convicted of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in April, 2013. He was given a 24-month suspended sentence and required to register as a sex offender.
Miller was arrested Monday after law enforcement investigated a tip that he was active on social media.
