Wells Fargo announces grants to local non-profits

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Three grants totaling $250,000 were announced on Tuesday night by Wells Fargo for local non-profits in Rowan County, according to a press release provided to WBTV.

The grants were distributed as follows:

The Lee Street Theatre for $100,000 - the grant will support the current capital campaign to build and operate a community theatre, arts and event center in the North Lee Street Warehouse District.

Rowan County Arts Council's Downtown Salisbury Centerpiece Project for $100,000 - the grant will be utilized for design and construction of a new farmer's market and outdoor arts and cultural gathering place.

Livingstone College's West End Community Revitalization for $50,000 - will be used to help restore and revitalize the West End community in Salisbury and make it a viable part of the city by restoring one of the properties owned by Livingstone College.
