CORNELIUS, NC (WBTV) - Hough is now in the process of finding a new head football coach as Bobby Collins has resigned to take the job at Lancaster High School in South Carolina.
Collins was the first and only football coach at Hough as the school opened in 2010.
In his time as the head coach for the Huskies, they went 25-20 including their best season ever in 2013 whey they went 10-2.
Before coming to Hough, Collins was an assistant coach at West Meck and Providence Day. Hough was his first ever varsity head coaching job.
Collins is a graduate of Sumter High School in South Carolina and played his college ball at South Carolina State so this is a sort of a homecoming for the coach.
Hough returns a lot of talent off of last season's 10 win team including highly recruited defensive backs Mark Fields, Corey Bell, and Carl Tucker. To go along with great facilities, the Hough job will be highly sought after in the next few weeks and months.
