Troopers: I-77 back open after multiple wrecks
IREDELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Multiple accidents caused major delays on the interstate near Iredell County Tuesday afternoon, according to troopers with the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Officials said I-77 was shut down in both directions near mile marker 40, south of Charlotte Highway, just before 3 p.m. and was expected to be closed for at least an hour.
The interstate re-opened shortly before 4 p.m.
There is no word on injuries, or if weather contributed to any of the wrecks.
