College provides food and toys to families

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Officials say Livingstone College is providing food and toys to families before a Christmas concert on Sunday afternoon.

About 30 Salisbury area families are going to be treated to Christmas Dinner at the college.

Santa will be at the dinner passing out toys to children.

Two scholarships are going to awarded at the dinner for students to pursue a culinary arts certificate at the college.

After the dinner, families can drink hot cocoa and watch "Miracle on Monroe Street," a Christmas concert with a live nativity scene.

The concert will be at Varick Auditorium and members of the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra will be performing in the show.

Doors for the concert open at 4 p.m.
