LENOIR, NC (WBTV) - The Lenoir Fire Department says it may be dealing with an arsonist after two suspicious fires were started on Sunday night.
The fires were started around 8 p.m. within four minutes of each other in the downtown area.
The first fire was set in an old parsonage behind a vacant church. Fire investigators say the damage inside is extensive.
The second fire was set at A New Dimension Substance Abuse Counseling Service on Main Street NW in downtown Lenoir.
Damage was minimal.
Deputy Fire Chief Ken Hair says both fires appear suspicious and may be connected.
No injuries were reported from either fire.
