Police in Mount Holly say a drunk man sexually assaulted three women, two of them teen girls, in a Gaston County park four days after he was released from jail.

According to the Mount Holly Police Department, officers were called to Noles Drive in reference to a report of an assault on three females.

The victims told officers that a man, identified as 24-year-old Ondrea Sherroid Lee Strong, appeared to be intoxicated when he assaulted and inappropriately touched them on Monday.

The three women, two of them under the age of 18, told officers that Strong had touched one victim's breast, grabbed another's buttocks, and struck another victim's buttocks and grabbed her around her head, causing injury to her lip.

According to the victims, the assault had taken place nearby at Woodlawn Park in Mount Holly.

Strong was arrested and charged with three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery, one count of assault on a female, communicating threats, larceny and intoxicated and disruptive.

He is currently being held in the Gaston County jail under a $20,000 bond.

Jail records show that Strong was arrested at the beginning of the month and was released from prison last Thursday.

This is Strong's seventh arrest in Gaston County since mid-April with charges ranging from DWI to larceny to resisting arrest and failure to comply.
