When Cindy Williams lost her job while on maternity leave with her second child she found herself at a crossroads, and it was the perfect time to create a new career.  She and her sister, Dana Degan , co-founded the Green Jeans Eco Chic consignment sales.

The next sale comes up September 25 through the 28th in Mooresville.  The hours Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are from 9am-8pm at Merino's Home Furnishings at 500 South Main Street in Mooresville.

The women collect from over 200 consigners.  The clothing ranges from designer labels to jeans from the GAP.  They allow consigners to decide the price of their items.  And you can increase the amount you earn off your sales by volunteering hours.

Cindy Williams took some time to break down the big fall trends for me, fringe and fur, bright cobalt blue, sweaters and hounds tooth!

She had one layered outfit with the new hot color of powder pink under a JCrew jacket that would originally retail for upwards of $500, at her sale, the entire outfit including Banana Republic shoes was just over 100 dollars.

It doesn't take a sleuth to see hounds tooth has made a comeback.  "Hounds tooth you can wear a multiple of ways, on the bottom on the top," Cindy said, pointing to a nice pairing of a hounds tooth jacket with pop of color wool coral skirt and green clutch purse.  She looked at the brands, and calculated what the clothing probably cost new, around $340.  At the consignment sale next week, you can have all of it for $80.

"We encourage our consigners to price to sell.  We know they want to clean out their closets and make some money, and they can!  We actually wrote a check to consigner who earned, and I mean it, earned 26 hundred dollars in four days," Williams said.

The sale is always a hit.  This is their fourth year in business and as Cindy says everyone wins.  It's supporting her small business if you attend.  Helping the consigners earn money and finding incredible fall fashion for a fraction of the cost!  They expect as many as 1,500 shoppers.  You'll find staples for your wardrobe and plenty of items that are on trend this fall.

They are several ways to consign and it's explained on their web site.
