In case you missed it last night, Peyton Manning threw for seven touchdowns in Denver's 49-27 win over defending NFL champion Baltimore.
Manning's performance was stellar and tied an NFL record for single-game touchdown passes. But the big story making headlines is who one newspaper credited with the feat.
John Elway.
People who get the Columbus Dispatch, in Ohio, woke up to see the title: "Elway throws seven touchdown passes."
The article credits Wire Reports for the story and flips back and forth between saying Peyton Manning and John Elway.
Photos of the newspaper gaffe have gone viral online.
Even the newspaper's own editor has tweeted the photo out.
"The definition of a bad morning: Seeing this headline," Columbus Dispatch editor Ben Marrison tweeted early Friday morning. "I knew Elway was good, but not THAT good."
Elway is a former NFL quarterback legend and currently works as the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the Broncos.
Elway has not played professional football since 1998.
