11 year-old helps deliver baby brother in bathroom

Good News: An unexpected delivery

Jessica Dills never imagined she'd be sitting in her Dallas living room, holding her 4 day old son, telling the story of how he was born in the bathroom of the home.

"I was like, oh my God my water just broke," said Jessica who was home with her 3 children, the oldest 11.

Her husband Jamie left work as soon as she called to say she was having painful contractions. But baby Lucas didn't wait for his dad or the ambulance to get there.

Jessica's 11-year-old daughter Ivy stayed with her mother during the whole process, even giving up her shoelace to tie off the baby's umbilical cord, per the instructions of the 911 dispatcher who was on the phone the whole time.

Her husband came home to see his wife sitting on the bathroom floor holding his newborn son. An ambulance took the mom and baby to the hospital where he was given a clean bill of health.
