CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A locally owned business will be shutting their doors later this month after 34 years.

Black Forest Books and Toys on East 7th street in Charlotte has sold books and toys tailored to children for over 3 decades.

Pat Seigfried, the proprietor told WBTV that due to a sluggish economy and internet business's like Amazon the store cannot afford to stay in business.

The store will be closing sometime between January 23rd and 26th once they sell through their inventory.
