Food blogger's mission to eat healthy
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Vani Hari is passionate about food, healthy food that is.
"People need to eat kale and spinach and all these things every single day," says Vani.
After a health scare the self taught food expert created Food Babe, a blog to help share her health mantra.
"I want to spread the message of organic living and how important that is to avoid disease," says Vani.
Her blogging is gaining momentum with over 100 thousand followers. One of those daily readers is Jean Merta.
"Her recipes are absolutely great and she's definitely changed the way I see food."
Vani hopes more people like Merta will catch on to this lifestyle.
"This is a great way to enjoy lasagna, add a dose of serious vegetables, and it's actually made with zucchini noodles," says Vani.
It's not always easy.
And it can get expensive depending on whether you go out or make at home.
But with just a little planning ahead it can be done says Vani.
The writer of www.Foodbabe.com says anybody can afford to be healthy.
Vani says the most important thing to remember is to start eating and drinking more vegetables, and eat natural foods instead of processed.
