Lake Norman High School principal suspended

MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - A principal at an Iredell-Statesville area high school has been suspended from his position, WBTV has learned.

According to school officials, Lake Norman High School Principal Todd Griffin has been suspended from his job with pay pending the outcome of an investigation by Iredell-Statesville Schools.

Griffin was suspended on Tuesday, WBTV has learned, and parents of Lake Norman High School students are being notified on Wednesday.

According to his bio on the school's website, Griffin was named the principal of Lake Norman High School on July 12, 2010.

Griffin previously worked at Corriher Lipe Middle School in Landis.

WBTV is working to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding Griffin's suspension.
