CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The LGBT Community Center of Charlotte is using the controversial remarks about gays and lesbians made by a pastor in Catawba County to its advantage.

For anyone who donates $10 or more to the center, Pastor Worley will receive a postcard notifying him that a donation was made in his name (see photo).

A storm of controversy has swarmed around Pastor Charles Worley and the Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden after a YouTube video surfaced of Worley giving a sermon about gays and lesbians.

In the video, Worley says they should be put in large camps and fed until they die out since they cannot reproduce.

Thousands protested at the Catawba County Justice Center after Worley's video gained national attention.
